WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates exercises are executed with attention to breathing and optimal movement control. With regular practice, muscles become more defined, joint mobility increases and posture becomes balanced, easy and elegant.

Pilates training uses control of the core, also known as “the powerhouse,” as a basis for practice. By strengthening the deep abdominal, back and pelvis musculature, exercises are done from the inside out. Focus is on strengthening and localizing the smaller muscle groups, while the larger and stronger muscles are slowly contracted and lengthened.

The training takes place on mats and Pilates large equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac, Arc Barrel and Combo Chair. The equipment uses spring tension for consistent resistance, offering a safe and effective way of gaining strength and flexibility. Our studio has a wide range of small equipment, including magic circles, foam rollers, balls and elastic bands.
