Having been a dancer all my life, movement to me- is as important as breathing. My curiosity to understand the mechanics of the body grew, as I continued to become a professional dancer with The Berlin Ballet, and then onto The Royal Danish Ballet, which became my second home for the last 20 years of my career. Having sustained a serious back injury and successfully made it back to the stage through training Pilates, quite simply left me in awe of this anatomical and biomechanical movement system which literally changed my life. It was this that led me to taking my education to become a Pilates Instructor in 2006.

In 2011 I had the privilege of being part of The Danish Wounded Warriors Project (DWWP) initiative, offering my voluntary services in training Danish soldiers returning from Afghanistan with monstrous disabilities and amputations. Today I am the project leader of the DWW and together with Jessie Lee, have successfully raised funding to open our own DWWP Training and Knowledge center under the roof of Copenhagen Pilates Studio. We have now opened the doors to not only wounded Soldiers, but also to severely wounded Civilians.
