JOHANNE DAM
Johanne is a certified BASI Pilates instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching movement and bodywork. She holds a degree in contemporary dance and performance from The Danish National School of Performing Arts (2005) and has worked professionally as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer both in Denmark and internationally.
Pilates has been an integral part of Johanne’s professional practice for many years—used as part of her own training, for injury prevention, and during rehabilitation following childbirth and physical setbacks.
In 2017, she completed the full BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training at Copenhagen Pilates Studio and has since worked as an instructor in both studio settings and rehabilitation-oriented contexts.
Johanne has a strong interest in how Pilates can serve as a structured and intelligent movement system to support physical strength, mobility, and mental clarity. Her teaching is grounded in her extensive movement background and a deep understanding of functional anatomy, with a focus on body awareness and personalized programming.
